I was a nobody :) I wasn't a cheerleader, a jock's girl, popular, homecoming court or prom queen. Hell, I wasn't even voted most likely to.....whatever :)
But I am okay with that.
I played basketball....and our team sucked :) We had a great time but averaged one win per season. It seems that the trend for me started when I started going to school. Unpopular followed me until I graduated...and then out into the real world too.
As I got older the teasing got a little less, or maybe I just stopped caring as much. I'm not sure. What I do know is that even as an adult I woke every morning and had to face the reality that I was going to drive an hour commute to a job that was hectic and filled with stress. Sit in a cubicle and deal with crap all day. And if that wasn't enough...I was going to have women that were my "friends" look down on me because I just wasn't cool enough. I didn't wear the right clothes (I dressed for comfort) I didn't do my hair or put on make-up (I'm a mom....I have better things to do and besides, it doesn't affect my job)
So what did I learn?
I DIG working form home and being at the beck and call of my kids day and night :) I have the greatest job in the world! Granted, I took a HUGE pay cut but the benefits more than make up for it.
